For the landmark 20th anniversary of Design Miami, the Spaceless Gallery presents a selection of novel works by six artists. In dialogue with this year’s theme, Make. Believe., the presentation centers on innovation, materiality, and craftsmanship – highlighting works premiering for the first time in Miami.
The presentation features artists and designers whose practices bridge contemporary craft, emerging technology, and sculptural experimentation. Highlights include a highly limited-edition forest-green kinetic clock by Humans since 1982, inspired by co-founder Per Emanuelsson’s childhood memory of sunlight filtering through the Swedish forest; a bronze tree and Aubusson-woven tapestry triptych by aurèce vettier; a 23K gold-gilded floral wall piece by Zoé Imber; a geometric totem light sculpture by Tim Leclabart; a signature Murano glass portrait vase by Hugh Findletar; and a bespoke sculptural sound installation by Oda featuring a live soundstream from the Macaw rainforest.
The gallery has also partnered with Scenarii Edition by Bérénice Curt Architecture, who has designed a walnut table and a Reishi™ chair to accompany the presentation – asserting the founders’ self-publishing approach, where mastery of craft goes hand in hand with mastery of intent.
