the Spaceless Gallery x MycoWorks
Matières sensibles
20 October - 28 November, 2025

For Art Basel and Paris Art Week, MycoWorks invites the Spaceless Gallery to take over Reishi House, its new Parisian space inaugurated last month during Paris Design Week 2025.

In this Haussmann-style setting on Avenue de l’Opéra, raw and refined abstract paintings and sculptures from the Spaceless Gallery are presented alongside Reishi creations, forming a dialogue between contemporary art and next-generation biomaterials.

The presentation brings together ceramic artists Olga Sabko, Morgane Pasqualini, and Jean-Baptiste Lenglet; pigment-based organic narratives by Quentin Derouet; the vibrant floral assemblages of Marianne Eriksen Scott-Hansen and Zoé Imber; abstractions on canvas by Aleksandra Szewczuk, and the sculptural and algorithmic poetry of aurèce vettier, a collaboration between human craftsmanship and artificial intelligence initiated by Paul Mouginot. Each artist, in their own language, begins with a raw material, whether clay, pigment, or data, and crafts it into form. Like MycoWorks, their practices are rooted in collaborating with matter to reveal its inherent potential.

In conversation with these works are iconic pieces from MycoWorks by Sophie Dries, Marion Mailaender, OEO Studio, and others, alongside new designs, including the airy pendant lights of experimental studio Aléa and a brand-new chair by Tim Leclabart, a rising star in French design. Suspended in dialogue, these works share a common delicacy rooted in the natural world. The exhibition explores materiality, form, and technique, opening a space of heightened sensitivity and imagination.

About the Reishi House by MycoWorks
In 2013, artists Philip Ross and Sophia Wang founded MycoWorks, a biotechnology company dedicated
to designing the materials of the future. Their patented Fine Mycelium platform shapes mycelium as it
grows, creating biomaterials of unparalleled beauty, strength, and durability. Thirty years of expertise
have led to the creation of Reishi, a new category of biomaterials offering designers unprecedented
control over a natural material. Reishi thus ushers in a new era of sustainable design for the artists
and creators of tomorrow.

Located Avenue de l'Opera in Paris, The Reishi House is envisioned as a true crossroads between
science, culture, design and innovation. It is a creative space intended to host inspiring conversations,
intimate cocktails, immersive exhibitions... a living platform dedicated to contemporary creation, a stage
open to the most stimulating dialogues around materials of the future, craftsmanship of excellence and
new expressions of sustainable luxury. A place to celebrate the unique vision behind Reishi, this
innovative material shaped by nature. Heritage, innovation and craftsmanship weave with the living
world in an unprecedented sensory experience.
