Aleksandra Szewczuk, born in 1982 in Gdynia, Poland, is a distinguished contemporary painter whose work delves into the realms of psychological and abstract expression. Szewczuk's technique involves applying diluted acrylic paints on raw, untreated canvas, producing dynamic, matte surfaces that play with color and texture. Her compositions are notable for their spatial complexity, where the interaction between background and foreground is explored through textures and the fluid transition from opacity to transparency.

Szewczuk's creative process is deeply meditative, allowing the paint to seep into the canvas in a manner that fosters a deep internal connection. This method not only anchors her in the present moment but also enhances the viewer's engagement with the work.

A graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts in Gdansk, Poland, Szewczuk has exhibited her work in numerous esteemed venues. Her notable exhibitions include the National Painting Competition in Bydgoszcz, the XIII Triennial of Small Painting Forms in Torun, and the III Pomeranian Art Triennial in Sopot. Internationally, she has showcased her work at the National Exhibition Center in Quebec and the Contemporary Art Center El Gallery in Elblag. Szewczuk's paintings are featured in prominent public and private collections, including the National Gallery of Art in Sopot and significant post-war collections in London, with further representations in cities like New York, Sydney, Montreal, Düsseldorf, Stockholm, Rome, Lisbon, and the Dominican Republic.
