Kristen Giorgi

Biography

Kristen Giorgi’s work lives in the space between the tangible and the imagined. Drawing from personal experience as much as intuition, she explores how reality and fantasy quietly overlap. Her paintings move between abstract landscapes and the female form, allowing each to inform the other and creating scenes that feel both familiar and dreamlike.

Based in Atlanta, Giorgi works on heavy upholstery-grade linen, layering acrylic and oil paint, often mixing pigments directly on the floor. This hands-on process gives her paintings a sense of depth and inner light, as if the images are glowing from within. Suns and moons appear throughout her work, recurring symbols that speak to cycles, emotion, and the relationship between light and shadow. Bright, expansive color fields sit alongside darker, more introspective moments, creating a tension that feels alive and emotional.
