Hanna Heino is a contemporary artist from Finland known for her delicate forms that honors the beauty and nuances textures of nature. The foundation of her practice is grounded in ceramics, emerging from an investigation of ancestral craft methodologies that she approaches with a contemporary perspective.
Clay is the universal medium of all her work, but the ancient working techniques vary amongst pieces. Her processes are an accumulation of emotions, experiences and intuition.
She has exhibited in international galleries across cities including Paris, Brussels, Milan, and New York. In 2024, she was awarded the 5th Officine Saffi Award, receiving a special Casa Wabi Residency prize. Her pieces adorn distinguished private and public collections worldwide, including The Royal Mansour hotel in Casablanca, Cartier's New York Mansion, and The Hotel Maria in Finland, a part of Preferred Hotels & Resorts.
