The Axis Totems are luminous sculptures, their structure built around an LED light tube fixed into a base made of reclaimed raw oak. Colored resin shapes are layered along this axis, creating a deep gradient of light. Modular in nature, the resin forms can rotate to produce patterns and dynamic light effects. This project juxtaposes materials in a play of movement, proportions, and accumulations. When turned off, the sculpture exudes an ethnic aesthetic; when lit, it transforms into a more «techno» object. The addition of a dimmer allows for multiple lighting atmospheres. Each totem is unique, featuring a base crafted from reclaimed oak, often repurposed from old structural beams.
