The tripodal armchair embodies SCENARII EDITION’s ambition to create a dialogue between natural materials, craftsmanship and innovation. Its polished stainless-steel structure composed of three intersecting legs, the collection’s signature motif, forms a sculptural support designed to host a wide range of seat materialities.
For this special edition imagined for Design Miami and the Spaceless Gallery, the seat is crafted in Reishi, an emerging material developed by MycoWorks that resembles leather but is grown from mycelium. The most marked and imperfect hides are deliberately selected, then elevated through a weaving technique that reveals their irregularities and restores meaning to the discarded. This manual gesture produces a visual and tactile rhythm, echoing the exhibition’s theme curated by Spaceless Gallery: the encounter between technical innovation and the natural world.
Available as a chair or armchair, its structure remains unchanged while the seat is designed to evolve according to needs and desired aesthetics. A sculptural and versatile piece, the tripodal armchair embodies a contemporary approach to furniture : technical, durable, and rooted in material elevation.
