The work Pluie consists of a succession of ten identical modules stacked vertically. Inspired by the gutter chains used in traditional Japanese temple architecture, it transposes the functional logic of water flow into a sculptural language. The rigorous repetition of the elements, their precise arrangement, and the regularity of the ceramic-printed forms echo minimalist art, evoking the meditative works of Donald Judd and Carl Andre. This structured verticality also recalls Constantin Brancusi's famous Endless Column, with which it shares the logic of repetition and the suggestion of infinite elevation. The glaze, applied evenly to the surface, presents a pale green texture, close to celadon green, with fine crystallizations in places. This unique surface treatment gives the piece a mineral appearance while absorbing light in a diffuse manner, reducing reflections and reinforcing the visual continuity between the modules. By integrating these architectural and artistic references, Rain invites reflection on how technical and cultural forms can be updated and reinterpreted through contemporary digital processes.
